How it works
From your application to your first Class.
Four steps. We read every application, and you can expect to hear from us within 5 to 7 days.

Apply
Tell us who you are, what you have studied and what you would like to teach. Have these to hand:
- A clear photo of you
- Your ijazah and certificates, with their documents
- A background check: a DBS in the UK, or its equivalent
- People who know your teaching

Pass five checks
Each is made and signed by a member of our team, with the date. Every Scholar passes all five.

Agree your rate, set your hours
We agree your hourly rate with you; it is the price families see. Then choose the times you teach each week, and the days you are away.

Teach your first Class
Families find you in the directory and book within your hours. Every Class is live and one to one, in NoorQuran’s own classroom.

Booking, payment and the classroom are NoorQuran’s; your workspace keeps everything else in one place.

What we ask of you
- Keep a professional distance from learners, and speak to everyone with respect
- Teach only inside NoorQuran, and never share or ask for contact details
- Agree to every Class being recorded, before your first one
- Never message a learner under eighteen; a family’s messages come from the parent
What we do for you
- Families find you, book within your hours and pay before the Class
- You are paid monthly, between the 1st and the 3rd, for what you have earned
- Every Class is recorded, so what happened can be checked, for you as for the family
- A team behind you: every message read and answered, and a fair hearing if a concern is ever raised

01Do I need an ijazah to apply?
No. Tell us about any ijazah you hold and your other qualifications; we check each one, and you teach only the programmes you are approved for.
02Can I teach from outside the UK?
Yes. Scholars teach from many countries. In the UK the background check is a DBS; elsewhere it is the equivalent where you live.
03How is my rate set, and how am I paid?
Your hourly rate is agreed with you during vetting, and it is the price families see. Families pay through NoorQuran, and you are paid monthly, between the 1st and the 3rd of the month.
04Who decides my hours?
You do. Set the weekly times you teach and the days you are away, and families book within them.
05Are my Classes recorded?
Yes, every Class, to keep learners safe; it also means what happened can be checked, for you as for the family. A recording is kept for 30 days and is never watched by the Scholar. See Trust & safety and our privacy policy.
